Kiss of the Rose by Kate Pearce

When Rosalind Llewellyn had to join forces with her enemy, Christopher Ellis to defeat a rogue Vampire threatening Henry VIII, their alliance led to a surprising passion. Reunited after a years separation, they face a new threat that could destroy their last chance at happiness.

Christopher is delighted by the spectacular rise at court of his friends George and Anne Boleyn. But Rosalind suspects Lady Anne is up to no good-she may even be a Vampire who’s bewitched the king. Now Rosalind must fight to keep Christopher from falling under the woman’s mysterious spell. It isn’t until Anne reveals a dark secret that Christopher awakens to where the true danger lies-and he begins to play a desperate game in order to save the woman he loves…

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS: 4 Rose Read

What a cool concept Kate Pearce has come up with in the Tudor Vampire Chronicles! I am truly enjoying the journey this series is taking me on, and I hope the next book will prove to be as exciting and conflicted as KISS OF THE ROSE.

Druids, Vampires, and Slayers of both species make KISS OF THE ROSE an exciting mix of religion, politics, and mayhem. The characters are shaping up to form one of the most complex casts I have met. The classic plot of feuding families and divided loyalties driving apart the hero and heroine, make for some romantic and steamy scenes that rival any romantic read. Placing this mix of characters into the Tudor time frame is sheer genius.

With a romantic pair sure to defy the odds, enemies disguised as allies, and so much more than that, KISS OF THE ROSE is a fantastic introduction to what I hope proves to be an unforgettable series.
