My Zombie Valentine by Katie Macalister, Angie Fox, Marianne Mancusi and Lisa Cach

FOUR WOMEN ARE ABOUT TO DIG UP THE TRUTH

Tired of boyfriends who drain you dry? Sick of guys who stay out all night howling at the moon? You can do better. Some men want you not only for your body, but your brains. Especially your brains.

It’s true! There are men out there who care—early-rising, down-to-earth, indefatigable men who’ll follow you for miles. They’ll take the time to surprise you, over and over. One sniff of that perfume, and you’ll have to use a shotgun to fight them off. And then, once you get together, all they want is to share a nice meal. And another. And another.

Romeo and Juliet, eat your hearts out.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS: 4 Rose Read

Fascination with the undead and a sense of humor are all that’s needed to fully enjoy MY ZOMBIE VALENTINE.  An anthology, this volume is amusing, entertaining and well-written.

Katie MacAlister’s Bring Out Your Dead gives animation to the “functionally deceased”, and while interspersed with snippets of French that need no interpretation, kept me in stitches.

Gentlemen Prefer Voodoo by Angie Fox pulled me right in and although it concludes on a satisfactory note, I wanted more. I suppose a fast-talking dragon creature and a woman who can voodoo herself a hunky man really grab my attention!

Zombiewood Confidential by Marianne Mancusi surprised me. I never expected such an intricate plot in such a short story, but  that’s exactly what I got. I crept along between trailers with Mason, and rolled my eyes at the LA haute cuisine, loving every minute of the adventure.  Nicely done!

Lisa Cach’s Every Part of You rounded this anthology out well, and was the perfect way to close the book.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about this book. MY ZOMBIE VALENTINE is sheer fun!
