Desire Me by Robyn DeHart

Years ago, Maxwell Barrett found a map to Atlantis and dedicated his life to the search for the mystical lost continent. But when an alluring woman makes a wager for the priceless artifact, he may have discovered an even greater treasure.

A descendant of Atlantis, Sabine Tobias needs the map to decipher an ancient prophecy. What she doesn't need are the sparks flying between her and Max. He's too devilishly charming to be trusted: The fate of her people is at stake as well as her heart. Yet a ruthless killer also covets the map. Now Max and Sabine must race to decode the prophecy's riddle before this criminal fulfills his deadly mission.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS: 4 Rose Read

In the second book of the Legend Hunter series, DESIRE ME, Maxwell Bartlett is on a quest to find the lost city of Atlantis. He has the map, but desires a submersible boat in which to find what he craves. All he needs is one last ingredient, and that ingredient comes in the form of the heroine, Sabine Tobias.

Sabine's motive in this novel is to do everything in her power to retrieve the map that Max has. She will do anything, including lying, masquerading as someone else... even seduction. What neither of them expects of their unholy union is to find something more worthwhile. Maybe love?

Romance, intrigue, lust, and adventure is what you get from DESIRE ME, and it all leads to a very satisfying conclusion. There is a lot of history in this novel, which is a plus, but at the same time, a downside. I don’t like to find myself getting bored while reading a novel. And, honestly, I did glance over some portions of the book in a hurry to get past these less-than-intriguing facts. But, all in all, once I got past that, I found myself flipping pages in my eagerness to find out the big secrets and sighing over the ending.

So, it comes down to the question I always ask myself: Would I perchance read this novel again? And my answer is a definite yes.
