RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS: 4 Rose Read

MY IRRESISTIBLE EARL is another book in the Inferno Club series that feature spying, ready-to-die-for-their-country heroes, and sacrificial yet feisty heroines. I would venture to say that for me, this is the weakest link in the series, but it is in no way unpalatable.

As a hero, I find Jordan to be a bit cold and unforgiving. Given his job, in some things he should be that way. However, knowing Jordan prides himself on not being unfeeling, well, in my eyes he fails miserably. He is not all that heroic until the book is nearly complete.

As for Jordan's heroine, she is stubborn and uncompromising, which at times make her as unlikable as him. Near the end of the story, they both endear themselves to me a bit more because they finally see each other's point-of-view. Thank goodness, their storyline carries them to places I enjoyed going, or I would have struggled to read about them.

MY IRRESISTIBLE EARL is a book that needs time to warm up and settle in. I am lucky to have been given enough patience to wait for the gem of the story hidden near the end.
