Seduce Me in Dreams by Jacquelyn Frank
Dark. Mysterious. Sensual. When Bronse Chapel, the commander of a specialized unit of the Interplanetary Militia, begins to dream about a beautiful and exotic brunette, he wants to dismiss it as being induced by lack of sleep . . . or perhaps lack of sex. But his instincts tell him it’s something different, something far more dangerous.

Ravenna is the leader of the Chosen Ones, a small group of people from her village born with extraordinary powers. She doesn’t know that draws her to Bronse’s dreams night after night, but she senses that he and his team are in jeopardy. Ravenna can help him, but first Bronse must save the Chosen Ones from those who plan to use their powers for evil. Together, Bronse and Ravenna will be unstoppable. But Ravenna is hiding something that could endanger them all.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

I've heard of Jacquelyn Frank for several years now, but this is my first time getting the chance to read some of her work. I found that SEDUCE ME IN DREAMS was just okay. It was in the middle and never tipped the scale of really good or really bad at any point in time. Overall I found the book to be pretty boring, which came as a disappointment to me considering the plot. Thankfully, it did pick up during the last part of the book, which helped keep it from going bad.

I had a few problems with this story. One of the problems was that the author introduced too much about the world too soon, and she did it in a way that it didn't feel natural. It would have gone over better if she had spaced it out so the reader didn't feel overwhelmed. Another problem I had was the author had too many names for her characters. Most of the characters would be introduced as one thing, then later be introduced with another name. The author also had problems with making it clear who was speaking when.

There were a few things I liked about the book, though. The hero and heroine had great chemistry, and the author portrayed the relationship fairly well. The world the book was set in was extremely interesting. I also liked the mysteries in this book, as they were the major thing that kept me reading.

Overall, the only people I'd recommend SEDUCE ME IN DREAMS to are fans of Jacquelyn Frank. The book was okay, but didn't do anything really new that hasn't been done better.
