RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

A CLOCKWORK CHRISTMAS is a collection of four forgiveness-themed steampunk romances. While each story is interesting in its own right, I was disappointed by the lack of ooey gooey Christmasy warm feelings that I expect when I read a holiday-themed book. So, if that’s what you are looking for, I would save this collection until after the holidays.

Settings range from Boston to Australia to the American Southwest to England. There are automaton people, airships, iron appendages and clockwork bombs galore. The heroines range from thieves to suffragettes to mothers and ballerinas, wealthy and poor. The heroes are inventors and a spy. I did enjoy each story and have a hard time choosing my favorite. I liked a couple for the plucky heroines, one for the creativity and one for the unusual setting. I would recommend this substantial collection to steampunk romance lovers.
