Absolutely amazing! Eddie's story surpasses his teammates from the Dirk and Steele agency, and that is not something I thought possible. It is beautifully touching, heartbreaking and tender, but oozes with such malevolence and venom, at times it is difficult to read. WITHIN THE FLAMES is one hell of a story.

I seriously doubt Liu can write a bad book. My past reviews of her works have convinced me that not only is she an auto buy author, she should be at the top of my list. Her imagination is beyond intense because the descriptions and destruction in her stories are unmatched. Some of the content within this one is beyond graphic and quite sick. However, the  contact, love, and human connection between the hero and heroine burn so brightly, there simply is no way to put the book down.

Marjorie M. Liu has no equal in writing. Even if paranormal or other-worldly stories are not to your liking, the way her words flow, scenes take shape and stories take flight, drown out that dislike. She is simply amazing, and WITHIN THE FLAMES is unbelievable.
