Gallus Navius Lucan of the Dragon Throne of Numia has become a rebel leader after his Uncle Magnus had his father, mother and little sister killed.  He would have died the same day except for barely escaping with this life.  Now Lucan and his rebels try to keep ahead of the Volarian soldiers to try to find a way to destroy Magnus and take back his father’s throne. 

Branna ta Cattia, The Raven, High Priestess from Tirna Ban, has come to Numia to defeat Magnus. She has seen a vision of herself and her Priest (whom she doesn’t know who he is) and more sorceresses are together to beat this evil man and get him off the throne. Her dear friend Fiall traveled with her and was her dear friend and her guard.

Lucan happened to be in the village when he saw Branna dancing in front of Armillon, the head of the Volarian soldiers. As her body started to glow, he realized she did not know that Magnus had had his sorceress put a spell on the land, so if anyone tried magic, they would glow. This would give herself away to Magnus’s soldiers for immediate arrest. Lucan immediately rode through the band of soldiers and lifted her up on his horse to aid in her escape.  Fiall and Ren (Lucan’s friend) found Lucan and Branna and joined forces.  Lucan blindfolded them to take them to the rebel hideout at Kern, a web of caves where the rebel band and their families could safely hide.  There they could make plans to continue to try to get his evil Uncle Magnus from the throne.

RAVEN’S QUEST is a fast-paced, exciting novel of good against bad. The author, Ms. Bast, has let her imagination go to build this wonderful world where magic lives and love blossoms.  I have read this author before, and she always delivers a keeper.  If paranormal is your ‘cup of tea’, and even if it's not, don’t miss RAVEN’S QUEST, a fantastic novel!
