Shadow Walker by Allyson James
Winter descends on the town of Magellan, and new evil comes to call.

Racing her motorcycle down a lonely winter highway, Stormwalker Janet Begay feels the ground collapse beneath her feet. After tumbling two hundred feet into an underground cavern, she manages to escape with help from her sexy dragon-shifter boyfriend, Mick—but not before they disturb dark forces.

As Janet contends with a hotel inspector intent on putting her out of business, and her grandmother, who’s taken up residence, Mick’s behavior becomes strange and erratic, until he is a clear danger to Janet and her friends. Janet’s drag-queen, attitude-ridden magic mirror insists that Mick has been “touched by shadows,” and Janet realizes that someone is out to enslave her dragon. Now she must free Mick before he kills her...

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS: Top Pick

SHADOW WALKER is definitely a keeper; but non-stop action, Native American folklore, a kick-a$$ heroine, and a dragon hero that is seriously in contention for the hottest hero contest I have in my head, make it unforgettable.

The action explodes from the first page and rarely lets up. The characters are magnetic, and the plot is absolutely riveting. I love the mysterious way James has of setting a scene. There are plenty of clues given to the mystery, and yet, as the story progresses, it becomes apparent that the conceptions I have originally are only breaking the surface of the story. I find this to be a very deceptive way of weaving a tale, and I love it!

SHADOW WALKER is book three in the Stormwalker series and does fine as a standalone read. However, with this much action, romance, mystery, and complexities within the cast of characters, I feel the need to read the first two as soon as possible!
