THE KONSTANTOS MARRIAGE DEMAND Author: Kate Walker ISBN: 9780373527571 3/2011 CONTEMPORARY Publisher: HARLEQUIN
In the hands of a lesser author, this Harlequin Presents Extra would have been in trouble from the start. This is one of those stories where the entire plot and conflict could have been resolved in one conversation. Very little happens, yet it is a good read because Walker created interesting characters and her prose flows smoothly. The Carteret and Konstantos families have been feuding for years, and it heated up for mysterious reasons five years ago when Nikos sought Sadie out. They fell in love and planned to marry, but it all fell apart. Now, Sadie’s ruthless father is dead, and she’s trying to save her mother and younger brother’s home. What will it take to wrestle it away from Nikos? If you like Harlequin Presents, particularly the Greek ones, and don’t mind a paper thin story, you will definitely enjoy this one. I did!
