RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

Feeling alone after the death of her father and finding out her boyfriend was using her, Samantha Blaine reads her father’s last letter to her, instructing her to retrieve the contents of his safe.  The lantern she finds inside houses Kal, her father’s genie, and rubbing the lamp takes Samantha on an adventure greater than she ever imagined.

For me, GENIE KNOWS BEST was an average romance.  The biggest problem was that I didn’t feel like I could see Kal and Samantha falling in love with each other, although the attraction was clear from the beginning.  To her credit, the love scenes Fennell wrote were very hot.  Her descriptions of Kal were fantastic, and he seemed like the perfect hero.  I also enjoyed Dirham, his fox companion. 

GENIE KNOWS BEST could have been greatly improved with more of the heartwarming moments when the reader really feels the love.
