IN PURSUIT OF ELIZA CYNSTER Author: Stephanie Laurens ISBN: 9780062068613 10/2011 HISTORICAL Publisher: AVON
IN PURSUIT OF ELIZA CYNSTER is one of those books that once read is never forgotten. I loved it, with its kidnapping plot, intriguing twists and turns, and a most dashing hero. The writing is first class, and I was instantly pulled into the story. Eliza and Jeremy are the second couple in this series. I have not read the first book, but it did not matter. The plot unfolds at a steady pace, and I needed no introduction. Eliza is kidnapped, Jeremy rescues her, and they make their way through the countryside. Their kissing in the dusk made me smile, as did the measures he took to protect her from harm. I never would have thought of putting dry sticks around a perimeter, but he did, and it is the little details, like this one, that make the story come alive. I thoroughly enjoyed tramping through 1829s Scotland with this pair. I am looking forward to reading the next installment in the series and will pick up a copy of the first book. Very well done!
