The second installment in this romantic suspense trilogy isn't quite as suspenseful as the first, mainly because the villain I was prepared to deal with is laying low. But not to worry. IF YOU SEE HER hosts another crazy villain and manages to sustain itself with a soft and romantic storyline, too. It also leaves some clues as to whom the killer in town is, and his weird obsession with protecting the heroine in the story.

There are a few lags in the storyline, but there are also some loose ends tied up from IF YOU HEAR HER. I am starting to think I have bits and pieces of this trilogy figured out, but knowing Walker, I am probably off base. By combining the tragedy of murder with romance and the intriguing back stories of the characters, the story stays fresh and deep.

The small town mentality and cunning of the killer is spot on, and I really am looking forward to IF YOU KNOW HER to see just how this story ends.
