RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:
This author just simply does not disappoint. In her first foray into contemporary writing, Julia totally captures her readers with great believable, very likeable characters. And what a great conflict she creates when she brings her main character, Robin Lear, face to face with the reality of her entire existance -- living in her very wealthy material world. Although its a pretty heady subject to tackle, (and I'm thinking it's about impossible to change when someone grew up privileged as Robin did), London does a nice job of presenting and resolving those issues Robin faces when she falls in love with her "handyman," a very hunky, motorcycle riding kind of guy. This is only the beginning for Julia in the contemporary field, and if you loved her historicals you'll find she brings her wonderful wit and charm to this new genre as well. Enjoy!
