He took a bullet for the president.
Will he take an arrow through the heart?
HOME IS WHERE THE HERO IS...
Secret Service agent Cal Griffin took a bullet for the President and became an instant media magnet-and the man who can jump-start Holly Hick's TV career. The catch? Holly has to return to a sleepy town in Texas, a world she thought she'd left forever. For Cal, forced out of commission, recuperating in home sweet Honeycomb is just what he needs. No moony-eyed women! No reporters! Then skeptical Holly-who doesn't believe in heroes-arrives and they're both in big trouble. Maybe it's the way she attracts danger. Maybe it's the way he turns up the heat under her professional cool. Or maybe it's the way Cupid can't resist bringing together two people who rub each other the wrong way-just to watch them get it right!...

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:
I adored Cal Griffin, he is my hero. Cal is shot while protecting the President; his young beautiful bi*ch of a wife leaves him while is still in the hospital. A year later a network wants to do a documentary about him for their show, "Hero of the Week".
Some days Cal seems to be recovering, then the next his short term memory has brain burps. But don't think this is going to be a book about a bitter tortured hero--that isn't Cal. He is sexy, funny, a could-be and might-want-a-be bad boy that everyone loves, drinking his long neck beers and driving around in his pink convertible T-Bird chasing Holly Hicks the "don't-want-to-be-in-Texas" gal.
MY HERO is funny, delightful, and full of sexual tensions. Add in a little sadness about a man who will never really recover and lots and lots of love. There isn't any big misunderstanding, just a wonderfully sweet love story.. . .
