SOME GIRLS DO
Author: Leanne Banks ISBN:0446611727 5/2003 CONTEMPORARY Publisher: WARNER FOREVER
"You want me to find a husband for your daughter?" As personal assistant to the rich and eccentric, Katie Collins thought she'd heard it all. Now to keep her job she has to play matchmaker for her boss's only child. With her shapeless clothes and prim appearance, Katie has not had much experience with the opposite sex. That doesn't stop her from trying to turn shy Wilhemina into a swan. Or from dragging reluctant bodyguard Michael Wingate to Texas, where their lovelorn heiress has run off to lasso herself a cowboy.
Working with Michael becomes more dangerous than Katie bargained for. He is exactly the kind of control freak she despises-and so hot he melts her plain-Jane defenses faster than a desert sunrise. Of course, falling in love with the man is out of the question. But just once Katie Collins wants to be a little naughty, to discover why all good girls sometimes want to be bad!
SOME GIRLS DO
KATIE COLLINS NEEDS TO LISTEN TO HER MAMA'S WISDOM:
1. Love makes us do amazing, wonderful things
and really stupid things too.
2. A little restraint is fine
as long as you don't overdo it.
3. The most important thing you can do in life is to be your best you.
4. Don't waste time on a man unless his kiss makes you forget your name!
5. I'd rather be brave enough to do something worthy of wild gossip than be so afraid of others' disapproval that I do nothing at all.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:
This was such a fun story, I absolutely loved it. The comments posted before each chapter had me grinning. The interaction and sparks between the hero and heroine had me laughing and tugged at my emotions. The unexpected second romance had me rooting for Wilhemina. It made me giggle so much in parts that I had my girls asking me "What's so funny, Mom?" And Chantal, the family pet scene stealer, you'll forever remember this story for Chantal alone. I look forward to reading the next book in this series, about Katie Priss's half-sister, Dee.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:
SOME GIRLS DO sparkles with unique characters, an outlandish set-up, right-on-the-money comic timing and one hairless dog. And the heroine's mother's outrageous quotes at the beginning of each chapter are an added treat.
I normally steer clear of stories with more than one romance, but the sweet, funny secondary romance was a bonus and took nothing away from the primary entanglement.
This story is definitely a winner. I'm looking forward to the heroine's long lost sister's story, WHEN SHE'S BAD, coming in November.
